ENHANCING BUSINESS

iPhones may appear to have little in common with face-to-face interpreting however All Graduates Interpreting and Translating Service are harnessing push-email technology to drive greater efficiencies in booking interpreters for its clients.
All Graduates’ have been established for more than 20 years. The company has continually sought the most effective methods to meet the needs of its growing list of clients and independent interpreter contractors
Ismail Akinci, All Graduates’ CEO explains that an iPhone allows interpreters to be able to respond to bookings in real time. “As soon as we receive the booking details from our clients, we can distribute them to our interpreters by iPhone. This means interpreters have the option to accept more bookings. Accepting bookings by iPhone also provides confirmation to the client quicker.”
BENEFITS TO THE INTERPRETER
Bookings are sent by iPhone daily with complete details. The handheld units: distribute bookings immediately on rotation to interpreters, enable interpreters to accept or decline bookings and provide the option to save the full details of the booking to the unit.
ALL GRADUATES’ BOOKING SYSTEMS
All Graduates’ Interpreters have a raft of options to choose from when receiving bookings.
BlackBerrys have been rotated amongst their panel of interpreters by All Graduates for more than three years. Interpreters will still be able to access the award-winning* Online Booking System or check the details of their bookings 24 hours, seven days a week. In addition, interpreters are called directly by the Interpreter Booking Coordinator Team.

Announcement (4 March 2009) All Graduates is pleased to announce that CRS Australia has awarded All Graduates a new contract commencing 5 March 2009.
All Graduates has been awarded a new contract by CRS Australia under a public tendering process. CRS Australia has selected All Graduates as one of its major providers to be on the CRS panel to service interpreting and translating assignments for specified offices of across Australia.
All Graduates will specifically provide:
· On-site interpreters – all CRS offices in Victoria and NSW
· Telephone and video interpreting to all CRS offices across Australia
· Translations to all CRS offices across Australia
All Graduates has been a provider for most of the CRS offices throughout Victoria for over 10 years. This contract will simply be expanded to cover all branches across Victoria.
In relation to NSW, we will now provide our services to all NSW offices.
In all other regions/locations across Australia, All Graduates will provide telephone and video interpreting, and translations.
You may be required to provide interpreting services in such situations as job capacity assessments, wage assessments, job seeking groups, vocational and physical assessments and employer/employee conferences which CRS Australia staff will be conducting.
The subject matter that interpreters will need to deal with usually includes medical, social, financial, legal and health issues, as well as employment-related material. Familiarity with linguistic terminology related to these areas is desirable.
More specifically, interpreters will usually be required to interpret subject matter related to all or some of the following, as appropriate to the job seeker’s injury/disability and vocational rehabilitation plan:
a) History of injury, disability and/or illness
b) Current and previous treatment history
c) Identification of any current symptoms
d) Pain behaviour and description
e) Pain management strategies including job seeker’s concept of physical condition and their coping ability
f) Medication
g) Activity tolerances
h) Cardiovascular fitness and exercise routines
i) Activities of daily living
j) Family and personal relationships and support systems
k) Hobbies and interests
l) Psychological functioning, and mental health issues
m) Employment and training history
n) Work capacity and vocational aspirations
o) Identification of job seeker barriers, strengths and weaknesses; and
p) Identification of vocational rehabilitation goals.

Announcement (17 Feb 2009) All Graduates has been awarded the new Victorian Department of Education and Early Childhood Development contract
All Graduates has been awarded the new contract under a tender issued by the Victorian Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD).
Interpreters will be required for on-site (Victorian-based), telephone and video interpreting (Australia-wide) and translators (Australia-wide).
Under this contract All Graduates will continue to provide interpreting and translating services to all Victorian government schools from 11 February 2009.
In addition, as part of this contract, from 1 July 2009 All Graduates will commence servicing new areas within the DEECD. These areas are:
· Maternal and Child Health Services
· Kindergarten Service Providers and Cluster Managers
· Occasional Child Care
· Best Start Service Providers
· Supported Parent Groups and Playgroup
· Early Childhood Intervention Services
· Specialist Children's Services
· Parenting Services
· Primary Schooling Nursing
· Secondary School Nursing
· School Focused Youth Nursing
All Graduates and the DEECD are currently planning transition of these new areas. We understand that these areas are currently serviced by the DHS language service provider and will continue until 30 June 2009.
All Graduates and DEECD will be offering induction and orientation on these areas and programs. Further information will be provided over the next few months.
